Entracte lamp is a table lamp offering a sensory experience of time.
Inspired by candles melting before your eyes, making the passage of time visible,
the Entracte lamp reinterprets the relationship between light and temporality.
The lamp incorporates a mechanism that allows a luminous sphere to move along a metal rod. The duration of its descent can be configured by the user. Once positioned at the desired height, the sphere begins its descent, which can last anywhere from 3 hours to 15 minutes depending on its starting position.
Crafted in walnut wood, the body of the lamp draws on the formal language of turned wooden candlesticks and employs the same manufacturing process. The Entracte lamp seeks to offer a tangible and perceptible embodiment of time, revealing it and quite literally bringing it to light.
